SUMMARY:River Trio Ecological Restoration Workday
DESCRIPTION: \nThere’s no better way to celebrate Spring than dedicating your time and service to ecologically restoring our San Antonio River.\nThe River Trio Service Partnership is made of the Headwaters at Incarnate Word, San Antonio River Authority and San Antonio River Foundation.\nVolunteer duties may include removing invasive plants, hauling cuttings into piles by the trails and running them through a wood chipper, maintaining existing trails and making new ones, planting native species and picking up trash. The workday is also a time to enjoy nature and learn about ecological restoration and the natural and cultural heritage of the San Antonio River.\nGloves and tools will be provided. Please wear closed-toed shoes, outdoor clothing and be sure to bring a reusable water bottle and sunscreen.\nOur awesome partners at REI San Antonio will be there with snacks, swag and an opportunity to win a super cool prize!\n**REGISTER** at http://signup.com/go/rivertrio2019\nThere is NO STREET ADDRESS to the Headwaters Sanctuary.
