SUMMARY:Viva La Confluencia: A Celebration of Nature, Poetry, and Music
DESCRIPTION:Presented by Infrarrealista Review in partnership with the San Antonio River Foundation, “Viva La Confluencia: A Celebration of Nature, Poetry, and Music” will be held on Saturday, April 27th at Confluence Park from 3pm-8pm. This event is free and open to the public.\nConnor Nielsen, an Austin-area poet, will lead a workshop on ecopoetics from 3-5pm, encouraging attendees to pull inspiration from Confluence Park’s scenery. The workshop will be held at the Estela Avery Educational Center. This workshop is recommended for ages 15 and up.\nAfter the workshop, attendees are encouraged to stay for a reading in the BHP Pavilion at 6pm. This reading features Jacinto Cardona, Dee Lalo Garcia, Connor Nielsen, and Camille Sauers. Attendees of the workshop are encouraged to read their work as well.\nPoshlust, a San Antonio duo (S. Phelps and Noah Escamilla), will be closing out the night with a musical performance at 7:30pm in the BHP Pavilion.\nAt Infrarrealista Review, we strive to create programming that facilitates conversations between a variety of mediums and interests.  “Viva La Confluencia” is a celebration of musicians and writers in conversation with nature and place through language and sound.\nInfrarrealista Review is a Central Texas literary nonprofit that publishes creative work by Texans. We prioritize art that pushes against the borders of highbrow and lowbrow.\n
