If you are planning a special photo shoot in the future I ask you to read over the photo policies below and then send us a quick email to see if the date and time you are planning on are available.
PARK RESERVATIONS HAVE PRIORITY OVER PHOTO PERMITS. If you’d like to guarantee the space for your portrait ahead of time, it is best to see if the space is free before buying your photo permit. If you are set on a particular date and time then you may want to consider reserving the space instead of purchasing a photo permit.
Photography Permit Guidelines
Guests are welcome to take casual photos and videos for personal enjoyment without a permit. Please stay on designated paths and avoid disturbing plants and wildlife. Personal use equipment is limited to camera phones, tablets, or cameras with an attached flash. Tripods, standalone flashes, and drones require a permit for use.
Photo permits for permits are required for the following photo sessions:
Permit Categories:
- Student Photography ($20): For graduation pictures or students working on academic projects or assignments.
- Portrait Photography ($50): For special occasions such as weddings, engagements, anniversaries, quinceañeras, maternity, birthdays, graduations, and proms. These sessions are allowed only during regular park hours, limited to times and areas not reserved for events.
- Commercial Photography ($300): For professional or commercial shoots, including advertising, film, or media production. Requires prior approval and coordination with park management.
No Permit Required: Informal, personal photos and videos taken for non-commercial use, provided guests stay on paths and do not use tripods, standalone flashes, or drones.
By purchasing a permit, you help support the park’s maintenance and programs, ensuring it remains a beautiful place for everyone to enjoy. Thank you for your cooperation and support!
Photography Rules:
- Take only pictures, leave only footprints.
- Avoid using rice, confetti, fake flower petals, candy, glitter, or cascarones.
- Do not use candles, bonfires, or any open flames.
- Stay on designated paths
- Respect natural habitats by avoiding disturbances to plants and wildlife
IMPORTANT INFORMATION FOR PHOTO PERMITS:
Please note confluence park has many private and public events at the park. Events take priority over photo permits. You cannot take photos in areas reserved for events during those times.
For future professional photography & portrait sessions, please submit an request via our Book an Event page to see if to see if the day and time you are interested in is available. You can pay for your permit the day of on location at the park, but remember that reservations, events and planned photo session get priority over day of purchases.
Photography Sessions are permitted once a reservation is booked through this site and all fees are paid. Please be sure to have a (digital) copy of your paid photo permit on hand during a photo session in case you are asked for it.
