Join us at Camp Hot Wells for Birding the San Antonio River with Mark Menjívar on Sunday, May 11 and learn about local and migrating birds seen along the Mission Reach.
Birding is about so much more than just birds. It is about looking, listening, and exploring. It is about imagination, color, texture, songs, movement and more! Artist Mark Menjívar will lead a bird walk to teach adults and children of all ages how to identify birds found in habitats surrounding the Mission Reach. Lift-off at 9am.
Birding the West Side Creeks with Mark Menjívar is free and open to the public with free, limited parking provided at Camp Hot Wells (5423 Hot Wells Way, San Antonio, TX 78. Participants are encouraged to wear comfortable, close-toed shoes, and bring a reusable water bottle. Binoculars will be provided. Register to reserve your spot!
About Mark Menjívar
Mark Menjívar is a San Antonio based artist and Associate Professor in the School of Art and Design at Texas State University. His work explores diverse subjects through photography, archives, oral history and participatory project structures.
