Birding the San Antonio River with Mark Menjivar

Join us at Confluence Park for Birding the San Antonio River with Mark Menjivar on Sunday, October 29, 9:00 – 11:00AM and learn about local and migrating birds seen along the San Antonio River.

Birding is about so much more than just birds. It is about looking, listening, and exploring. It is about imagination, color, texture, songs, movement and more! Sponsored by the Bexar Audubon Society, Artist Mark Menjivar has partnered with the San Antonio River Foundation to lead a  bird walk to teach adults and children of all ages how to identify birds found in habitats surrounding Confluence Park and the Mission Reach Ecosystem Restoration and Recreation Project of the San Antonio River, the largest Urban Ecosystem Restoration Project in the country.

Birding the San Antonio River with Mark Menjivar is free and open to the public with free parking provided at Confluence Park (310 W Mitchell). Participants are encouraged to wear comfortable, close-toed shoes and bring a reusable water bottle. Binoculars will be provided. RESERVE YOUR SPOT.

Our project partners —the San Antonio River Authority, Bexar County, the City of San Antonio, and the US Army Corps of Engineers — have invested over $789 million in river improvements for our community. Together, our investments have added over $3.6 billion in economic impact through adjacent private investment and development.
